An outdoor kitchen is an investment that brings daily pleasure, but what should you actually budget for? We'll help you get a realistic picture.
What does a Roostr outdoor kitchen cost on average?
At Roostr, most outdoor kitchens range between €8,000 and €25,000 for a complete setup including installation. This difference is due to the three distinct models we offer, each with its own character and price level. This allows us to create a durable and high-quality outdoor kitchen for various budgets.
For €7,500, you can already have a beautiful outdoor kitchen that will last for the next 20 years. Of course, you can make it as expensive as you like, with extra modules, luxurious finishes, and special countertops, but that's precisely what we help you with: making the right choices for your budget and use.
The most important thing is to understand that price isn't everything. A cheap outdoor kitchen for €3,000 might need replacing after two seasons, while an investment in quality materials will last for decades. The real question is therefore not "what does it cost," but "what do you get for it and how long will it last."

What does the price consist of?
The basics: construction and materials
We deliberately choose stainless steel and galvanized steel because these materials can withstand all weather conditions. A three-layer powder coating makes the outdoor kitchen extra strong. This is more expensive than wood, but the difference is enormous: our outdoor kitchens last 20 years or longer, while wooden alternatives often need to be replaced after 2 seasons.
Stainless steel is a costly material, that's true. But it's an investment. You'll enjoy it longer, and it's ultimately more sustainable. People sometimes compare it to their indoor kitchen, but indoor materials have much less to endure. No rain, wind, and sun. Outdoors, they do.
Countertops that make a difference
The countertop is one of the components with the biggest impact on price. We only work with Dekton, Florim, and sometimes Neolith because these materials are specifically designed for outdoor use. They are resistant to heat up to 250 degrees, frost, UV radiation, and scratches.
The size and type of countertop determine a significant part of your budget. If you choose a thicker countertop (60mm, 80mm, or even 100mm with Allure), you'll see that reflected directly in the price but also in the appearance. It immediately gives your outdoor kitchen more body and luxury.

Cooking options and equipment
This is where costs vary the most. Do you only want space for your existing kamado? Then the extra costs are limited. Do you combine different cooking methods such as ceramic cooking, teppanyaki, and a pizza oven? Then you need more space, and the kitchen automatically becomes larger.
Electric cooking options are a bit more expensive compared to a kamado, but with a kamado, you have costs for charcoal and accessories. This is somewhat relative. More importantly, what suits your cooking style? We choose certified equipment suitable for outdoor use, which is why it costs a bit more than indoor cooking equipment, but you know it will last a long time.
Installation and guidance
A complete outdoor kitchen including installation means for us: the desired outdoor kitchen, placement and installation by experienced Roostr technicians, and warranty. We offer a 10-year warranty on materials and construction, and a 5-year warranty on coating and mechanics. This gives you certainty about your investment.
Installation costs extra but guarantees that everything is correctly placed and level. Our technicians have experience with hundreds of installations and can immediately assess whether the surface is suitable and how the kitchen should be optimally positioned.

Costs that are often underestimated
Subsurface and preparation
An outdoor kitchen needs a stable, level surface. If your patio is not suitable, there may be costs for leveling or a foundation. Connections for water, electricity, or gas can also incur additional costs depending on the distance to your house.
We guide customers in this so there are no unexpected costs. During the first consultation, we always look at the situation on site and immediately explain what is needed. No surprises afterward.
Transport and placement
Depending on your location and accessibility, there may be transport costs. We always discuss this in advance, so you know what to expect.
Impact of your cooking style on the budget
Your cooking style largely determines what your outdoor kitchen should cost. Someone who only wants to cook ceramic (kamado/Big Green Egg) needs fewer modules than someone who wants to combine multiple cooking methods.
Do you want to combine different appliances? Then you'll need more space, so the kitchen automatically becomes larger, and costs increase due to the different appliances. The smart approach is to start with your main cooking style and leave room for later expansion. Our modular system makes this possible.
Why quality pays off
People sometimes find our outdoor kitchens overpriced, but that's a misconception. Stainless steel is a costly material, which quickly makes the kitchen more expensive. The same applies to the countertop. The difference with indoor kitchens is that outdoor materials must be of much higher quality. Indoors doesn't have to endure rain, wind, and sun. Outdoors does.
What people prefer not to skimp on when considering years of use and comfort? Quality and material usage. An investment in good materials pays off handsomely in terms of lifespan and ease of maintenance.
How we help you determine the right budget
Start with the 3D configurator
Our 3D configurator provides an immediate price so you get a sense of the costs. It gives a good indication. What customers often only truly discover when configuring their ideal setup is how much is possible. We can incorporate all cooking options.
Do you really want to take the next step? Then personal contact with us is always best. We see what suits you best, and sometimes you end up with a completely different idea. Not because we want to sell more expensively, but because we see what truly fits your situation and future plans.
Personal advice in the Roostr studio
We spend a lot of one-on-one time with clients to compose an outdoor kitchen that is ideal for them, both aesthetically and budget-wise. We take our time, create different options and setups, think about the current situation but also the future, and are open and honest about prices.
This personal advice helps enormously. We have experience with hundreds of projects and can immediately see where your money is well spent and where you can save without sacrificing quality. Often, during such a conversation, you come up with a completely different idea than where you started, because we discover together what is truly important for your situation.
Visit a dealer
At our dealers, you can see and feel the outdoor kitchens in real life. Photos never fully do materials justice. By seeing it, touching it, and opening doors, you get a much better feel for the quality and whether it suits you.
When do you invest a bit more?
We advise investing a little more than initially planned if you have a clear vision for the future. How do you want to use the outdoor kitchen now and how in the future? If you know that in a few years you'll probably be cooking outdoors more, or that the grandchildren will be visiting regularly, then it pays to consider that now.
Our modular system helps with this. You can start small and expand later, but some basic choices (like the model and countertop) are determined now. We'd be happy to help you think this through.

This is actually the perfect process for a customer to go through:

Realistic budgeting
For a quality Roostr outdoor kitchen that lasts 20+ years, consider at least €7,500 to €15,000 for Rubix with a good basic configuration. For Allure with more luxury and options, it's between €13,000 and €25,000. Wave for unique design starts from €19,999 and can go up to €35,000 with all options.
Is it worth the investment?
A good outdoor kitchen transforms how you use your garden. It becomes an extension of your living space, a place where family and friends gather, and an investment that brings daily pleasure for years. Customers tell us they take much more time to cook outdoors and can cook much more relaxed because everything is at hand.
We also hear that people use the outdoor kitchen not only on beautiful summer evenings but also barbecue in autumn and winter because it has become so enjoyable and easy. That's exactly what we design it for: 365 days a year of outdoor cooking pleasure.
The costs are substantial, but spread over 20 years of use, it comes down to a few hundred euros per year for something that significantly enhances your living enjoyment.
